Shona Kerr

Shona Kerr has many years of experience in the management of scientific research in academia. Her primary interest is in the genetics of complex diseases using human population and family-based biobanks and linked electronic health record data.

She is based at the MRC Human Genetics Unit, University of Edinburgh as project manager of the QTL in Health & Disease programme. The focus of her research is to use genetics to leverage the special population structures in the Northern Isles of Scotland to better understand the causes of disease.
