{"id":34932,"date":"2020-11-11T15:03:53","date_gmt":"2020-11-11T15:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biotechpharmasummit.com\/?page_id=34932"},"modified":"2023-05-10T15:06:48","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T14:06:48","slug":"catherine-alix-panabieres","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.biotechpharmasummit.com\/index.php\/cdx-biomarkers-biobanking-2021-speakers\/catherine-alix-panabieres\/","title":{"rendered":"Catherine Alix-Panabi\u00e8res"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vgblk-rw-wrapper limit-wrapper\">\n\n\t<h2>Dr. Catherine Alix-Panabi\u00e8res<\/h2>\n<h4>Director LCCRH at the University Medical Center of Montpellier<\/h4>\n\t<p><strong>Dr Alix-Panabi\u00e8res <\/strong>is an Associate Professor and the Directorof the Laboratory of Rare Human Circulating Cells (LCCRH) at the University Medical Center of Montpellier and the CREEC &#8211; CANECEV CNRS, University Montpellier, France.<\/p>\n<p>She is working in the\u00a0<em>liquid biopsy <\/em>field for 22 years and is the expert for the EPISPOT assay, a technology that has been recently improved to detect functional CTCs at the single cell level (EPIDROP). Importantly, Dr Alix-Panabi\u00e8res &amp; Prof Pantel coined for the first time the term &#8216;<em>Liquid Biopsy&#8217; <\/em>in 2010\u00a0(<em>Trends Mol Med<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>She has authored &gt;115 scientific publications during the last years and 15 book chapters, she is the inventor of 3 patents in the field of\u00a0<em>liquid biopsy.\u00a0<\/em>She is involved in Basic Sciences\u00a0<em>(establishment of CTC lines)<\/em>, Technological Developments and many national and international Clinical Trials in\u00a0<em>liquid biopsy<\/em>. With her colleagues in France, she demonstrated for the first time the clinical utility of CTCs in metastatic breast cancer\u00a0(Bidard<em>et al.
